Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning garland is used to do JAPA (recitation of Mantra) while meditating or praying. When the Romans invaded India they thought JAPA to be JAP (Latin word for Rose) and when they went back the Mala Beads came to be referred as Rosarium which ultimately became to be known as ROSARY BEADS in English. These Beads are made of different materials and are considered to have strong spiritual energetic effects. It has been noted that over more than two third of world’s population use Mala / Rosary Beads as a part of their spiritual practice, preaching or prayer. The total no. of beads in a Mala or Rosary is 108 in count. The starting and ending point of a MALA is provided by a large mountain bead that acts as the source of counting repetitions. A Mala, basically used to chant Mantra (Yogic Sanskrit word ) which is a word or series of words chanted aloud or silently to invoke spiritual thoughts and qualities. Virtually every religion use chanting as a mode of spiritual tool to transform consciousness, promote healing or fulfill desires. But, simply wearing a Mala all the time does not produce power, as it must be used with good intention and thought. Let those thoughts rear greater happiness, joy, love, kindness and serenity into the world. If you do, it will be a source of deep blessings in your life.

When you look at your Mala let your mind be reminded of its pious and scared nature, wishing good for others and exposing your own self up to the blessings of divine power.

maa laxmiLaxmi or Lakshmi, daughter of sage Bhrigu, is a Hindu Goddess who is an epitome of light, beauty wealth and prosperity. Goddess Lakshmi ( Maa Laxmi ) is essentially known as the Goddess of Wealth. She is said to be Swarn-Hastha which means Golden Handed. In pictures she is shown to be sitting on a Lotus Flower. As the name suggests she helps in attaining wealth, prosperity and success in various fields of professional life. In this context wealth also includes ethics and moral principles that one must follow in addition to hard work to achieve success. In many parts of India this puja is done on a full moon day. Normally people perform Laxmi puja during Diwali and it is said that Maa Laxmi doesn’t like loud noise that’s why it’s essential to do Aarti without using too many religious musical instruments and clapping.

Steps to perform Laxmi Puja :

1) Spread a red cloth on a raised platform and keep a handful of grains in the center. Place a kalash in the middle filled with 3/4th water and put one supari, one marigold flower, a coin and some rice grains. Put 5 mango leaves in the kalash and arrange them in a circular design on the neck of the kalash. 2) Further keep a small Puja thali on the kalash and make a small flat mountain of rice grains. Draw a lotus with haldi over it and place the idol or Goddess Lakshmi in the center. Place some coins in front of it.
3) Lord Ganesha is the first one to be worshipped in every puja. Therefore, on the right side (South-West direction) of the kalash, place the idol of Ganesha. Apply a tilak of haldi and kumkum. Put some rice grains on the forehead of idol. After this you can place some books or anything related to your business or wealth (whatever kind of blessings you are trying to seek for) besides the arrangement on the idol.
4) Light diya and place it in a thali along with some haldi, kumkum and rice grains.
Start the puja by applying tilak to the kalash. Apply the same tilak to the lota that is filled with water. Now offer some flowers to each of them.
5)Take some rice and flowers. Join your hands together and close your eyes. Recite the Diwali puja mantra of Goddess Lakshmi or just chant her name and meditate for few minutes to invite her. Then offer rice grains and flowers to the Maa Laxmi idol. Now pick up the idol of Lakshmi and place it in a thali. Bathe it with amrit water (Ganga Water). Clean it with normal water again. Wipe the idol and place it back on the kalash. Now apply haldi and kumkum along with rice to the idol. Place the garland around the neck of the Goddess. Burn few Agarbatti and Dhoop. Offer coconut and place a supari on a supari leaf. Now put some haldi, kumkum and rice over it. Place some mithai, Diwali sweets, fruits and money or gold ornaments in front of it.

6) Lastly perform the Aarti and seek the blessings.

Any Puja done with good intention and heart always bears fruits.

Effects and side effects of Rudraksha

In this article, we will talk about the effects and side effects of Rudraksha as we know today. But before we do that I would like to thank all the readers, who took time out of their busy schedule and read my previous articles. For our new readers, this is part 4 of 10 part series on Rudraksha.

Guarantee – In today’s world we are so used to this word that we look for assurance from everything. But unfortunately, no human can guarantee anything and if they do they are telling a big fat lie, I request my reader from such hypocrites. Even God did not give us the guarantee of our lives. It all depends on our actions “Karma”. If we eat right, walk everyday and live a happy life, we will live longer. God gave us our lives but how long we are going to live depends up on our actions and in actions.

Similarly, God gave us this magical seed called “Rudraksha”, all we can do is wear/worship the Rudraksha, whether it’s going to solve our problems or not depends totally on our actions and inactions. Being a Rudraksha Consultant, we can suggest you a Rudraksha or may be a combination of Rudraksha but we cannot guarantee that it is going to solve problems or get a promotion or maybe get a winning lottery ticket. However, we can guarantee that it will bring peace of mind, it will make you happy and it will show the path that you are supposed to walk.

Belief and Faith are most important. You have to believe in the power of Rudraksha and have faith in God. If you have these two then believe me Rudraksha works wonders, it has worked on me, my family and my friends.

Rudraksha does not have any side effects. I request you not to overestimate the power of Rudraksha. Rudraksha is not a medicine, which will fix all issues immediately or within hours. However, once you wear the right Rudraksha you will happen to notice changes in your life from 3 days to 3 months time. People wear it for their entire life span.

Rudraksha needs to be purified, blessed and energized before it can be worn. Get Rudraksha only from the person you know and trust.

In my next article, we will talk about – Can I drink alcohol or eat meat if I wear a Rudraksha? Can ladies wear Rudraksha? Do I have to wear Rudraksha all the time?

Please feel free to contact us at info@rudrakshausa.com, if you wish to know more about any Rudraksha from 1 Mukhi to 21 Mukhi or anything in general related to Rudraksha.

In this article, we will talk about the science behind Rudraksha as we know today and we will also answer the question – how Rudraksha affects our Mind, Body and Soul. But before we do that I would like to thank all the readers, who took time out of their busy schedule and read my previous articles.

Scientifically, it has been proven that Rudraksha is Electromagnetic in nature and possess Dynamic Polarity. There are various research papers written, which demonstrate these properties and how they affect the neurophysiology of humans. Different Mukhi Rudraksha has different qualities, which in turn has different effects. Although, a person can wear any Rudraksha, there are no negative or side effects of wearing a Rudraksha; however, it is recommended that Rudraksha be worn after consultation with a Guru who knows the right way to wear a Rudraksha.

Human body can be considered as a complex bioelectric circuit, this circuit at times gets out of balance due to various factors like stress and anxiety, which comes from our fight for survival and prosperity. In this modern age with intense competition our stress levels are increasing day by day, which results in to problems like insomnia, depression and heart problems. Doctors also confirm that many of our ailments are psychosomatic (emotional) or stress related. When this imbalance happens our body sends electrical signals to our central nervous system, which affects various neurotransmitters in our mind, like dopamine and serotonin. As a result our body does not function with full efficiency and we feel uncomfortable. Our blood circulation becomes abnormal, which causes various heart conditions.

Electromagnetic Nature of Rudraksha:

Electric and Magnetic nature of the Rudraksha impart positive changes in our bioelectric system. In scientific research, Rudraksha have been proven to control and regulate flow of blood from heart, which in turn regulate our blood pressure, which further results in regulating our stress, depression and anxiety, with normal blood flow to our brain we get improved concentration. Due the Electromagnetic properties the Rudraksha have anti ageing factors. Rudraksha seeds have electrical properties like Resistance, Capacitance and Inductance. For more details on how these properties affect our mind and body, please contact us at info@rudrakshausa.com

Dynamic Polarity:

Rudraksha has a unique ability to change its polarity, this is by virtue of its property called Diamagnetism*. Due to this property Rudraksha acquires a polarity that is opposite of the inducing field, which results in opening of the blocked arteries and veins. Because of this property Rudraksha seeds are much more powerful than magnets.

People of all castes creed and religions can wear Rudraksha. There is no sex or age bar for people desiring to wear Rudraksha seeds.

* Diamagnetism is the ability of any material to acquire temporary magnetic property in presence of an external magnetic field. The polarity of the charge induced is opposite to that of the external field inducing the charge.
